Sharp-eyed counters are needed again outside the yellow Peachland Historic School on Beach Ave, across from Swim Bay. This is an official tally for for provincial and national bat biologists, plus other conservation stakeholders, and helps determine the number of healthy pups produced by our maternity colony.
Come and help us count the attic residents as they swoop out for their nightly bug buffet. Bring a chair, and counting app for your phone and prepare to be amazed by the number and aerial antics of our Little Brown and Yuma bats. Fun and interesting for all ages, with kids’ activities starting at 7:30. We hope for a calm, clear night for the furry, winged mommas and their pups departing the attic.
