Our first attic roost sighting of 2023 occurred on Sunday, April 9th. During a conversation with a visitor centre volunteer, one of the guests looked at the live feed, pointed and asked, “What is that?” The little bat that captured everyone’s delighted attention shyly moved off-screen. Program Director Darlene Hartford says, “It’s wonderful to see them returning, and we will continue to monitor the camera feed closely to observe and record the numbers to share with other bat conservation groups.” Watch for more images, or drop by the yellow Peachland Historic School to see for yourself!
