Bat Chats are educational information sessions about
Peachland bats and other species in the Okanagan.
The program is appropriate for all ages! 

Program options include;

1. Drop-in

Bat Chats are held in the Legends of the Lake Interpretive Centre in Peachland Historic School at 5684 Beach Avenue, AND/OR along the Bat House Interpretive Trail (depending on the one you attend).

Open to the public, all ages - $5 per person


2. School & Group Tours for Children

Reservation required, numbers limited to COVID-19 guidelines.
Students may be divided into groups according to numbers. 
Includes a brief history of the 1908 schoolhouse, bat chat presentation, craft time (and colouring sheets), live viewing of the bats via in-roost cameras, and time permitting, a tour of the Interpretive Centre.
Storytime is possible upon request.

$5 per person


3. Adult Tours

Reservation required, numbers limited to COVID-19 guidelines. 
Includes bat presentation, historical tour of the Peachland Historic Primary School, a tour of the Legends of the Lake Interpretive Centre, and viewing of live footage of bats in the attic.
$5 per person

Optional: An author reading (of Darlene Hartford's children's books), as well as an author signing! This option may be available upon request for booked bat chats.
