Bat Counts

Counting Bats

Every Friday in July and August, the BEEPS peeps hold a bat count!

You'll get to learn about our cute little friends that live in the attic, and count them as they fly out of the building to feed for the night! You’ll be able to hear their squeaks as they fly around the area to chow down on insects. These bat counts provide us with valuable information for population statistics and future research.

If you are wanting to attend a bat count, please see our Facebook page for up to date times (and extra days) of the bat counts. Provincial bat counts are very important, because local biologists use this data for studies on the Okanagan bats.

Hope to see you there, and thank you for your support! #SavetheBats
