Bring your family for an evening in the park, co-hosted by the PWPA-Peachland Watershed Protection Alliance & BEEPS-Bat Education and Ecological Protection Society.
7pm: Gather to install a small echometer where bat activity is known to take place.
7:30pm: Short trail walk to learn about and observe the bats emerging from their roosts at dusk. Search and identify sites for future bat counts. The neighbouring pools and ponds are essential to bats and ideal for bat viewing. Participate in an educational bat chat in a more rural environment than the usual Beach Ave.
Enjoy by cake and refreshments and conversation, to wrap up the event.
